The Center for Austrian Studies is committed to student outreach at all levels of education in the effort to bring an awareness of Austria and Central Europe to Americans.
Austria, located in the heart of Europe, has a rich historical tradition. The K-12 section is intended to introduce readers to political, social, economic, and cultural aspects of Austria and the countries of its pre-World War I empire.
Here's a link to a somewhat unique opportunity to study in Austria and live in a beautiful home on the outskirts of Vienna. For ages 14+ http://www.study-school-austria.at/history.html
In this section you will also find announcements of the Professional Development Workshops directed to educators who want to learn more about the many facets of Austria and receive certification credits for participation.
For Minnesota teachers: If you would like a member of the Center to come to your classroom to talk about Austria or the new Central Europe, please contact the Center at the above e-mail address or call 612-624-9811.
